  * e.g.,  ... I'll need some good workers, and some bad workers. Can you separate the sheep from the goats for me? The sheep will serve as a distraction to our competitors while we get down to business.

1: When you have to separate you junk from someone else’s junk. You don’t normally say their shit or your krap but you say your shit and their krap.

  * e.g.,  ... My mom got mad and shouted, “separate the shit from the krap!”
